Recently a piece of news becoming viral on social media that Nirvani Akhara’s Mahamandaleshwar (head) Kapil ‘Muni’ (saint) passed away due to coronavirus at a private hospital in Dehradun. As per the Kumbh Mela (Fair) in-chare Arjun Singh Sengar Statement, Mahamandaleshwar, who had come to attend the ongoing Kumbh Mela in Haridwar, contracted coronavirus and was admitted to a private hospital in Dehradun where he died.

Nirvani Akhara Mahamadaleshwar Kapil dev death reason
Mahamandaleshwar Kapil Dev, who was associated with the Mahanirvani Akhara of Madhya Pradesh, died in a private hospital in Dehradun. He was admitted for the treatment of coronavirus. Dehradun City Superintendent of Police Sarita Doval said that Mahamandaleshwar died on April 13. Shambhu Kumar Jha, Chief Medical Officer, Haridwar, said that Mahamandaleshwar had come to Haridwar from Madhya Pradesh to take a royal bath at the Mahakumbh Mela and was admitted to Kailash Hospital in Dehradun when his health deteriorated.
