Detective Inspector Chris Ahearn said the argument at the nearby prison may hold the key to working out exactly what happened.
“We’re currently investigating the circumstances surrounding potentially this rider being involved in an argument with some other people further up the road here shortly before the accident occurred,” Detective Insp Ahearn said.

“We don’t know if he has had contact with another car or what the circumstances were in ending with him coming off his bike.”
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious. Furthermore, anyone with dashcam vision along Nerang Murwillumbah Road between 9.30 am and 10.30 am on Friday to come forward.
